Cirque du Soleil is planning a brand new, eye-popping show on the Las Vegas Strip this spring that appropriately flips its typical script.

"Mad Apple" will feature stand-up comedians, close-up magic and a live band playing pop music onstage alongside Cirque's famous acrobats in a new hybrid form of live entertainment.

Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, who blasts off for the International Space Station this week, is an irreverent space enthusiast who has made headlines for splashing the cash on modern art.

The 46-year-old tycoon is the founder of Japan's largest online fashion mall and is the country's 30th-richest person, according to business magazine Forbes.

Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte announced on May 24 he intends to try to buy back the world's most famous circus troupe, which is struggling due to the coronavirus pandemic.    

Laliberte, a former stilt-walker-turned-millionaire who co-founded the troupe in 1984, sold his last remaining stake in Cirque in February.

Well-known in the Mediterranean region, the Balkans and Israel, where it tours regularly, the Circo Medrano is setting up its big top in Palaio Faliro on the southern coast of Athens.

In its 43rd production since 1984, the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil presents "Bazaar," a performance inspired by lively Indian marketplaces. Experience the colorful spectacle composed of more than 90 acrobats, dancers and artists as they take over the old Athens airport, which has hosted countless activities, including portions of the 2004 Summer Olympics, since flight operations ended.

Canadian singer Francesca Gagnon, who performed at Cirque du Soleil's 'Alegría' and 'Midnight Sun,' will perform at İş Sanat Concert Hall on April 11. She will be accompanied by Rene Dupéré, the composer of Cirque du Soleil's music.

An experienced Cirque du Soleil performer has died after plunging onto a stage during an aerial straps routine at a weekend show in Tampa, Florida, the company said on March 18.

Daisy Lea became famous from her performances in “Cirque du Soleil” at Canada. But what really boosted her fame was her Playboy shots in 2015.

She has studied interior design at UCLA but she is following a carrier in modeling.
