Turkish media and officials say the warden of a high-security prison has been shot dead by unknown assailants who fired at his car as it stopped at traffic lights.
     

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu has vowed to reveal "foreign contacts" of militants involved in the killing of prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz during a police operation at an Istanbul courthouse on March 31.

The two far-leftist militants who were killed by security forces after they took prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz hostage on March 31 inside an Istanbul courthouse were laid to rest on April 2. 

?afak Yayla, one of the captors of 46-year-old Kiraz, was laid to rest in his hometown of Çanakç?'s Karabörk village, which is located in the northern province of Giresun. 

A hostage situation in an Istanbul courthouse has led to another gag order, adding up to a total of over 150 similar rulings issued in the past four years in Turkey.

Suspected members of the outlawed Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C) have taken prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz hostage at Istanbul courthouse in connection to the case into the killing of Gezi victim Berkin Elvan.

Gunshots have been heard at the building.
