Nearly 600 cruise ships carrying more than 550,000 passengers have called at Turkish ports in the first eight months of this year, Transport Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu has said.

The western province of Çanakkale is expected to welcome 45 more cruise ships until the end of the season this year.
As cruise trips to the province were halted because of the COVID-19 pandemic, no liners arrived at the port in Çanakkale for two years.

Diana Shipping secured a fare for her ship four times higher than the previous one
Diana Shipping Inc, the NYSE-listed shipping company of the Palios family, secured a fare four times higher than the previous one.

The Greek-owned fleet remains the largest in the world with 5,774 ships, 410 million dwt and 242.3 million gt according to the data provided to ot.gr by the leading shipping brokerage house Clarksons. Also, the Greek-owned fleet in terms of gt constitutes 16.5% of the world fleet, while ten years ago it accounted for 13.6%.

The new Super Post Panamax Ship Loading and Unloading Bridge Crane has arrived at the Port of Piraeus. The bridge crane can serve mega container ships of 20,000 TEU and is intended to be installed in Pier I, according to a relevant announcement.
