German town united by 400-year-old theater tradition
Walk around the German Alpine village of Oberammergau, and the chances are you'll run into Jesus or one of his 12 disciples.
Of the 5,500 people living there, 1,400, aged from three months to 85, are participating this year in the once-a-decade staging of an elaborate "Passion Play" depicting the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Biden left the summit
Biden was supposed to speak today at the final session of the G7 leaders' meeting in the German castle of Elmau, in the Bavarian Alps, before he flew to Munich by helicopter, and from there it was planned to take a presidential plane to Madrid for the NATO Summit.

Obama, Merkel at beer breakfast — US President on Greece
No “Russian bear” was in sight as US President Barack Obama savored Bavaria’s finest beer and sausages accompanied by host Angela Merkel on Sunday. Yet the “Greek issue” did later crop up in the otherwise sunny surroundings.
The White House quoted Obama as saying he is hopeful Greece and its partners will be able to chart this course without causing volatility in financial markets.
Thousands protest in Bavaria ahead of G7 summit

Protestors clash with police on the eve of G7 summit
Protestors gathered in the picturesque German resort town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen on the eve of the G7 meeting at a Bavarian Castle on Sunday. The crowd of around 3,600 people gathered to demonstrate though organizers state it was around 4,500 people.
