Three injured in youth basketball brawl in western Athens
Three people were injured during a brawl at a youth basketball game on Tuesday evening in Agios Ioannis Renti, western Athens.
The incident reportedly occurred around 11 p.m. during a match between Drapetsona and Ionikos Nikaias, when tensions flared between fans and players.
State of emergency declared in several Rethymno municipalities due to fire damage
The Ministry of Civil Protection on Friday declared a state of emergency in the municipalities of Agia Paraskevi, Agios Ioannis, Ano Meros and Apodoulou in the municipality of Amari in Rethymno on Crete.
According to the decision signed by the general secretary of civil protection, Vassilis Papageorgiou, the state of emergency will be in effect until September 9.
