Vucic: Gojkovic to announce election date Thursday
BARIC - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday said Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic would on Thursday announce the date of the upcoming presidential elections.
Speaking to reporters, Vucic said the elections would be held pursuant to the law, dismissing criticism from "those who think the campaign time frame is short."

Vucic attends start of works on Corridor 11 motorway section
BARIC - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday attended the start of works to build a Corridor 11 motorway section that will connect the Belgrade suburban municipalities of Surcin and Obrenovac.
He noted he was grateful to Chinese friends, with whom a 208 mln euro contract had been signed after long negotiations he said had not been easy.
Vucic tours site of Mei Ta plant in Obrenovac
BARIC - Serbia's Prime Minister-designate Aleksandar Vucic on Friday toured the construction site of a Mei Ta plant in Baric in the Belgrade municipality of Obrenovac that should hire 1,400 workers to produce automotive and engine parts.
Vucic said that he is proud to see a construction site with 300 workers and that he is always glad when works are progressing fast.

BELGRADE -- The flood-hit areas of Obrenovac and Barič near Belgrade, Sremska Mitrovica in the north and Krupanj and Šabac in western Serbia remain the most critical.
The village of Barič has been preventively evacuated, with the flood wave on the Sava River expected to arrive later on Saturday.
