BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Serbia Zijin Copper representatives on Thursday.

In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile, Vucic wrote they had discussed numerous matters of mutual interest.

The municipality of Negotin has posted an announcement on its official Facebook page for an event on Wednesday evening to promote a new book by convicted Serbian war criminal Veselin Sljivancanin at the public library in the eastern Serbian town.

He announced that a wide public debate on that would be opened in the coming months.
"We will talk before making any decision, because that has its advantages and disadvantages," Vucic pointed out.

As Vucic told TV Pink, the previous night was the worst in terms of deaths.
"For us, the previous night was terrible, one of the worst so far, primarily because of what happened in Nis. People who underestimate this disease ... A disease like this was created to attack our parents", Vucic said.

Bodies of three women and one man have been discovered in the family home in the village near Negotin.
The body of R. K. (72) was found on a tractor, the body of D.K. (83) was found in the yard, there were two other, so far unidentified, female victims.

Prva TV reported on Thursday morning that two persons - one from Majdanpek, and another from Negotin - had been arrested while attempting to run away from a police patrol.

Daily Vecernje Novosti write that those arrested include two members of the Serbian Army, and another suspect.

They are currently held in police custody that can last up to 48 hours.

BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Aleksandar Vucic on Sunday declared the party's victory in four out of the five municipalities where local elections were held earlier in the day.

Speaking at a press conference late Sunday, Vucic said the SNS had won in Pecinci, Mionica, Negotin and Kostolac.

The leader of the DS, an opposition party in the National Assembly, described this as "solid and encouraging" as he addressed reporters during a news conference in Belgrade on Monday.

According to him, the result shows that the party enjoys a trend of increasing trust.

Vucic said the SNS won convincingly in Pecinci, Mionica, Negotin, and Kostolac, while the results had not yet arrived at the time of his press conference from the fifth municipality - Presevo.

According to unofficial results, the Alternative for Changes led by Shqiprim Arifi won there.
