Man dies in abandoned mine explosion near Drama

A 62-year-old man died following an explosion at the warehouse of an abandoned mine at the foot of Korylovos mountain, near Drama, northern Greece.

The incident happened at 11.30 a.m., police said, adding that authorities are investigating the circumstances of the explosion.

Local media said the warehouse was used to store explosives. 

 

An Explosion near an Airport in Austria

There was an explosion at the airport in Linz, Austria, Reuters reported, citing German television En-TV. 250 firefighters are fighting the blaze, which ignited after the explosion near Hörshing Airport.

The fire broke out after an explosion explosion at a garbage disposal facility which is now completely destroyed. There is still a lot of smoke. 

One killed in explosion in iron and steel plant due to gas leak in Turkey's Osmaniye

One worker was killed in an explosion that occurred in an iron and steel factory due to gas leak in the southern province of Osmaniye on April 7, Doğan News Agency has reported. 

Three others were wounded in the explosion. Efforts to evacuate the wounded are continuing.
