Commagene Lar, Land and Art Biennial opened in Adıyaman's Kahta district on Sept. 23. Curated by Nihat Özdal, the biennial showcases artworks of 13 artists, Shirin Abedinarad, Vahap Avşar, Murat Cem Baytok, Anna Laura Cantera, Yalda Jamali, Odmaa Uranchimeg, Cengiz Tekin, Mariko Hori, Zaid Saad, Meltem Şahin, Mert Kocadayı and Kim İncheol.

Every language is more than an instrument of communication between members of the community to which it belongs, it also represents cultural accumulation. Language is a tool for individuals to convey their thoughts and an important determinant of how they perceive and express the world around them.

Akbank Sanat will open its new season with an exhibition titled "Black Noise," curated by Ekmel Ertan and
Işın Önol. 

Designed as a contemporary art project, "Black Noise" will be open to the public from Sept. 9. 

The outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) claimed responsibility on April 12 for a bomb attack the previous day on a police compound in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır that killed three people.

A statement on a PKK website said the militants had planted more than 2.5 tons of explosives under the annex of the police headquarters in the central Bağlar district.

An explosion that occurred on April 11 at a police compound in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır was the result of a terror attack, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has said after initially saying it was an accident.
