Mitsotakis contacts mayor-elect Beleri to congratulate him on his election in the EP
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis contacted the newly elected MEP Freddy Beleri in jail, on Monday, to congratulate him on his election in the European Parliament for his New Democracy party.
Beleri, who is the elected mayor of Himara, was sentenced to two years in jail after an Albanian court found him guilty of corruption charges.

WWII hero Glezos, 91, to become MEP along with Zagorakis and 19 others
World War Two hero Manolis Glezos is set to be elected to European Parliament at the age of 91 following Sundays vote in Greece. He is set to be joined in Brussels and Strasbourg by the former captain of Greeces Euro 2004-winning soccer team, Theodoros Zagorakis.
