Turkish mafia posing hybrid threat
A confidential report authored by Greek security authorities charting the activity of the Turkish mafia in Greece has issued a stern warning about the risk of its being used as a tool by secret services. The multi-page report coincides with the recent arrest of armed Turkish mobsters in Greece on two separate occasions within the space of three days.

A state of alert has been raised within the Greek Police (ELAS) following the arrest of a man from Turkey on Chios for weapons possession and forgery.
Pregnant teen dies in Nea Makri amid allegations of ambulance delay
A 19-year-old pregnant girl has died in Nea Makri, in eastern Attica. Her relatives claim that she had to wait for hours for an ambulance to arrive.
According to reports, on Tuesday around 11 a.m., the National First Aid Center (EKAV) received a call regarding an 8-month pregnant woman who was feeling unwell and experiencing contractions.
Dozens of Attica beaches found unfit for swimming
Seventy-one out of 323 beaches inspected by the Panhellenic Center for Ecological Research in the Greek capital's Attica region were found unfit for swimming, with low cleanliness scores going to popular spots like Loutsa, Oropos and Schinias.

Police arrest one of three burglary gang fugitives
Greek police arrested on Saturday morning one of the three Albanian nationals who had escaped last Tuesday from a police station where they were being held in Argyroupoli, southern Atherns, by jumping out of a window.
He was found at the house of a friend in Koropi, eastern Attica. The 28-year-old was reportedly hidden in a closet and didn't resist arrest.

Coastal Athens attracts bulk of investor interest
The Athens Riviera represents about 80 percent of demand for property purchases in the broader area of the Greek capital. Coastal locations stretching from the city's seaside southern suburbs all the way to Sounio are attracting most of the interest, while buyers are also focusing on Artemida (Loutsa) and Rafina, according to data provided by online real estate platform Spitogatos.

Breaking news: Fire in Artemida threatens houses
A fire that has broken out in the area of Loutsa (Artemida) in the east coast of Attica is threatening residential areas. Strong winds are helping the spread of the blaze. The fire reportedly broke out at 4pm in the inhabited area of Agios Ioannis Prodromos of Artemida. 13 fire engines, 35 fire fighters and a helicopter are battling the fire.

Protecting Attica's wetlands
Many are familiar with the Schinias marsh, Lake Vouliagmeni, and possibly even the Vourkari wetlands. But Attica actually has 49 more wetlands, not counting known rivers, canals and streams. Most are in moderate or bad condition due to anarchic urban planning, and four have disappeared entirely.
