Sacked Index Journalists Make History in Hungary
About 90 of the Index journalists resigned en masse following the sacking of editor-in-chief Szabolcs Dull. In the lead-up to his dismissal, Dull had been warning that the independence of the editorial team was in danger and he moved the "freedom barometer" on the homepage of Index to "in danger".

AEK on course for Champions League group stage
Greek champions AEK Athens put themselves in the driving seat with a 2-1 win at Hungary's Vidi FC on Wednesday.
Vidi and AEK each had a player sent off and the Greek side benefited soon after the home team's striker Szabolcs Huszti was shown a straight red card for a reckless foul midway through the first half.

Austrian Мigrant Death Тruck Тrial Set For June 21
Eleven men will stand trial on June 21 over the deaths of 71 migrants found in an abandoned truck in Austria in 2015, court officials in Hungary said Thursday, AFP reported.
In a case that caused widespread revulsion, the bodies of the 59 men, eight women and four children were already in an advanced state of decomposition when they were found.
