3rd Justice and Development Party Extraordinary Congress

The biggest urban problem in Istanbul is traffic congestion followed by population issues, according to Binali Yıldırım, the Turkish Parliament speaker who is running for mayor of the country's largest city from the ruling Justice and Development Party's (AKP) ranks.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that he may select some deputies from the parliament as ministers in Turkey's new cabinet, the first after the switch to executive presidential system.

The first cabinet of the new executive presidential system will be composed of ministers who are not members of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, adding that he will form the government with his first presidential decree on July 9.

The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) will issue two key decrees this week for the harmonization of current laws for the new executive presidential system that will fully go into effect with the inauguration of President-elect Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
