Police evacuates squat on Strefi Hill
Greek police reclaimed a municipal building on Strefi Hill, central Athens, from illegal squatters on Thursday as part of continuing efforts to evict individuals who systematically appropriate abandoned buildings and residences.
Officers found and confiscated two helmets and banners, and 174.35 euros, which will be sent to the Deposit and Loans Fund.

Police come under attack in Exarchia
Successive Molotov cocktail attacks against the police were launched by unknown persons late Friday and early Saturday morning in the central Athens district of Exarchia.
Police said the spate of incidents began at 12.20 a.m. with an attack with firebombs and other objects against police officers on Kolettis Street.

Police seek three gunmen behind Athens restaurant holdup
Police in Athens on Monday were seeking the three perpetrators behind a robbery on a restaurant near the Strefi Hill in downtown Athens shortly after midnight on Sunday.
According to witness accounts, the perpetrators burst into the restaurant wielding guns, took what cash there was in the register and then forced customers to hand over their valuables.
Muggers who tried to assault two women caught
Three men have been charged with the attempted sexual assault and robbery of two women on Strefi Hill in the Exarchia district of Athens, authorities said on Monday.
According to police, the Algerian nationals robbed the women at gunpoint and tried to molest them but were pushed back.

Xarchakos Tribute | Athens | July 17
A series of concerts organized on Strefi Hill by the City of Athens's secretariat for youth comes to a close on Monday, July 17, with a tribute to Stavros Xarchakos, a composer best known for setting emblematic Greek poems to music. The municipal Workshop of Greek Music ensemble will be accompanied by vocalists Dora Loizou and Manolis Skoulas. The performance begins at 8.30 p.m.
