Four Japanese ministers tendered their resignations on Thursday as unpopular Prime Minister Fumio Kishida reels from a major corruption scandal in the ruling party.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is set to fire several top ministers who are reportedly under investigation for alleged fraud, local media said yesterday, in what would be the second reshuffle in three months.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva met in Tokyo today with her Japanese counterpart Tarō Kōno, the Foreign Ministry press office said. They discussed how to strengthen the bilateral political dialogue and the opportunities for increasing Bulgarian exports, attracting Japanese investments, technologies and tourists.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe approved the new cabinet in which 14 ministers out of 19 were replaced. The ministers that keep their posts are the closest associates of the head of state. They are Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Taro Aso, Secretary General of the Cabinet Yoshihide Sugga and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshi Seko. Reports BGNES.
