Listening

For years, the unionists of state-owned Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) have been warning about the lack of safety on the railway network. Was anyone listening? They were right, but unfortunately it has become very difficult to tell when unionism is serious and when it is partisan, and because it is usually the latter, we close our ears.

A study lead by the University of Edinburgh researchers suggests that listening to music while running can be helpful in combating mental fatigue and might prove as a key to improving people's performance too.

Journalists - and Greek ones in particular - love to talk. A lot. But it is important that we learn to listen as well, as has been discovered - often in a brutal manner - by media all around the world.
