The US ambassador to NATO, Kay Bailey Hutchison, on Tuesday in Washington said North Macedonia, which joined the alliance this year, will receive similar assistance to other member countries in dealing with fake news from Russia, North Macedonia's state-owned MIA news agency reported.

Russia continues to destabilize Ukraine, said the US Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison, reported NOVA TV. 

Allies will strengthen their presence in the Black Sea region in response to Russian aggression in Ukraine, and NATO will bind to Northern Macedonia this year, the 30th member of the Pact. US ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison said.

United States Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison said July 8 that Russia appeared to be trying to "flip" Turkey, a key member of the alliance, in a bid to undermine and destabilize NATO.

The United States is to ask NATO allies to contribute around 1,000 additional troops to help in the battle against the resurgent Taliban in Afghanistan, the new US ambassador to the alliance said Thursday.
