EUNAVFOR MED Irini / 3 month mission of Romanian Naval Forces in Mediterranean Sea
The minelayer Vice Admiral Constantin Balescu (PM-274), with a detachment of combat divers on board, is departing on Thursday, from the military port of Constanta, to take part in the EUNAVFOR MED Irini operation, in the Mediterranean Sea, between October 1 - December 31.

CNCAV: 4,571 persons vaccinated against COVID-19 in the past 24hrs
A total of 4,571 doses of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson&Johnson vaccines have been administered in the past 24 hours, of which 3,148 represented the first dose and 1,423 - the second dose, according to a report on Sunday of the National Committee for the Coordination of Vaccination Activities (CNCAV) against COVID-19.
PM Citu: I want to have face to face courses all school year; children's safety is most important

A number of 2,255 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been recorded in the past 24 hours, being performed over 33,000 tests, the Strategic Communication Group reported on Sunday. These are cases that have not previously had a positive test.

The National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) updated on Thursday the list of countries with high epidemiological risk. According to CNSU, Serbia, Estonia, Albania, Tunisia, Mauritius, Jamaica, Lebanon, Palestine, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, Suriname and Brunei Darussalam have entered the red zone.

PM Citu sacks Justice Minister Stelian Ion
Prime Minister Florin Citu announced this evening that he sent President Klaus Iohannis the request for the dismissal of Justice Minister Stelian Ion from the USR PLUS junior coalition partner. "I took a necessary decision. A few minutes ago I sent the President of Romania the request for the removal from office of Justice Minister Stelian Ion," PM Citu said.

CNCAV: 7,987 people vaccinated against COVID in past 24 hours
A total of 7,987 doses of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines have been administered in the past 24 hours, of which 4,737 representing the first dose and 3,250 the second dose, according to a report released by the National Committee for the Coordination of Activities on Vaccination against COVID-19 (CNCAV) on Sunday.
