Türkiye handed over the command of NATO's Kosovo Peacekeeping Force (KFOR) on Oct. 11 to Italy, a year after it assumed the role for the first time.

Women's rights remain the unfinished business of the 21st century, with a pressing need to support young women in obtaining education and skills to realize their potential. This sentiment was expressed by Hillary Clinton during a special meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in Sofia, organized by Kiril Domuschiev and Domuschiev Impact.

The United States has received Kosovo's request to purchase Javelin anti-tank missiles, the US ambassador to Serbia on Thursday told President Aleksandar Vucic, who expressed "deep disappointment."

The US State Department said later Thursday that it approved the possible sale of the 246 missiles and related equipment to Kosovo for an estimated cost of $75 million.

The Higher Court in Kraljevo, Serbia, on Monday ordered the release of three Kosovo policemen who Serbia says it arrested on Serbian territory - and who Kosovo says were kidnapped inside Kosovo last week.

The court also said it confirmed the indictment against them for alleged illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials.

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's defence lawyer Gregory Kehoe told the Kosovo Specialist Chambers at a status conference in the trial on Tuesday "there is no tribunal that has put measures" in place for witness protection like the ones being imposed at his client's trial in The Hague.

Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Thursday that he has sent a proposal to France's President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the statute of the Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities in Kosovo - a move that was not well-received by the Pristina authorities.

Kosovo's President, Vjosa Osmani, and its Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, confirmed that they are open for new mayoral elections in four Serb-dominated municipalities in the north of the country, in line with a request from Western officials.

Kosovo Customs also determined that the company had increased the cost of recent imports of passports and identity cards.

Despite these issues, the company still has an ongoing contract with the Kosovo ministry, which claims it did not have any information on these alleged irregularities. 

Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Tuesday refused to accept a draft statute for the establishment of an Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities to represent Serbs' interests in Kosovo, claiming it would establish an entity like Bosnia and Herzegovina's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska, whose leaders have repeatedly challenged the legitimacy of their state.

This was decided at today's extraordinary session of the Committee of Ministers, confirmed for "Kosovo Online" the Head of the Mission of Serbia in the Council of Europe, Aleksandra Djurovi.
