Slovakia will on Saturday hold the first round of a presidential election that is a battle between the Central European country's Russia-leaning ruling camp and a pro-Ukraine opposition-backed candidate.

The Slovak government has declared a state of emergency throughout the country, which enters into force at 7.00 am Bulgarian time on March 12, said Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, quoted by BGNES.
Serbian PM meets with Slovakia's president, PM
Pellegrini, who had invited Brnabic to visit Bratislava, organized a ceremonial welcome in front of the building of the Slovakian government, the Serbian government announced.
After that, a tête-à-tête meeting of the two prime ministers was held, as well as a working lunch, organized by Pellegrini in honor of Brnabic.
