Poultry Scandal: Imported Eggs Sold as Bulgarian Produce!

Daniel Bozhankov, head of the Association of Industrial Poultry Breeding, highlighted this ongoing problem, stating that imported products are often repackaged and falsely presented as Bulgarian in the market network.

Egg producers in Bulgaria expect their price to continue to rise even after the doubling of prices in the last year. The forecast is from the chairman of the Association of Industrial Poultry Breeding in our country, Daniel Bozhankov.
Turkish man fined $14,000 for cockfighting
A man was fined 105,400 Turkish liras ($14,300) for organizing cockfighting in the southeastern Şanlıurfa province.
Police raided an address in the Fırat neighborhood and found 17 roosters bred for fighting, and tools for sharpening their beaks and claws.
The organizer identified by his initials U.T., was fined separately for each rooster.

Police raid cockfight arena with grandstands, detain 47
The police have busted another cockfight amid the coronavirus pandemic, this one in the northwestern province of Bursa's Yıldırım district.
Police teams raided the roof of an apartment in Demetevler neighborhood and detained 47 people, six of whom were gamecock owners and the remaining 41 were spectators.
UAE Lifts Ban on Eggs, Poultry Products from Italy, Bulgaria
The UAE has lifted another ban on eggs and poultry products from two European countries.
The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment announced the lifting of the ban on the import of all kinds of domestic and wild birds, ornamental birds, chicks, hatching eggs, their products and their non-heat treated wastes from Italy and Bulgaria.
Over BGN 20 million have been Paid for the Welfare of Birds in Bulgaria
Since the end of March, State Fund Agriculture has paid a total of BGN 20 620 952 million to 112 poultry farmers under the measures under the scheme "Aid for the implementation of voluntary commitments for bird welfare," the institution said.
State aid aims to support farmers to implement voluntary animal welfare commitments in the poultry sector.
