North Macedonia Govt Announces New Anti-Corruption Team
North Macedonia's government said on Tuesday that it has decided to form an "operational" anti-graft team headed by Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski and including other top officials.
The team will "work uncompromisingly and through a coordinated approach in the fight against crime and corruption", the government said in a statement.
Macedonia's NGOs Face Inspections After Political Threats
The Public Revenue Office, UJP confirmed on Tuesday that it is preparing to send financial inspectors to the Foundation Open Society - Macedonia and to 20 other NGOs, but dismissed allegations that its actions were motivated by the ruling party threat to combat internationally-funded civil sector groups that allegedly work for foreign interests.
Summer Halts Work on Macedonia Crisis Deal
The cross-party working group that meets under the guidance of the former Belgian MP and expert Peter Vanhoutte has halted work on pinpointing key reforms and is to go on a summer break until August 17.

Macedonia Names and Shames Worst Debtors
Three public enterprises, “Makedonija pat”, “Makedonski sumi” and “Komunalec - Gostivar”, are among the top ten debtors in Macedonia, according the report of the Public Revenue Office. Together they owe the state around €11 million.
The list reveals that some 3,500 state and private companies as well as individuals owe the state a total of €200 million.
