Odessos

A remarkable discovery has emerged in Varna, where construction work uncovered a well-preserved ancient statue. Known as Gaius, this statue dates back to the Roman era, specifically to the late second and early third centuries, a time when Odessos thrived within the Roman Empire, as noted by Dr. Vasil Tenekejiev, an archaeologist at the Regional History Museum in Varna.

Archaeologists from Varna discovered an ancient object that has an analogue only in the collection of the Louvre. The find was found during the excavations of part of the sanctuary of Ancient Odessos, Elina Mircheva, curator and archaeologist at the Archaeological Museum in Varna, told Radio Varna:

A significant archaeological discovery was made in Varna. After a century of guesses, the first gate of the ancient city of Odessos, which lies below our seaside capital, was found.

Third day, households, hospitals, schools, hotels and restaurants in the densely populated central part of Varna are without water. According to the local water and sewerage company, the reason is "the reconstruction of the Vasil Levski city boulevard and the construction of connections on the main water conduct", reports Dnevnik.
