Microsoft will unbundle its Teams platform from its popular Office suite around the world, expanding a policy it had implemented in Europe to assuage EU antitrust concerns, the company has said.

The European Commission launched an investigation last year to see whether the U.S. tech giant was "abusing and defending its market position" by bundling the software together.

A description of up to 200 characters is enough to produce a scene from a short film, video clip or advertising campaign (text to video) in less than two minutes. The figures, effects, movements, sounds etc, as they are produced through a simple written description, look so realistic that they are in stark contrast to their surreal filming process. Why is that?

The European Union announced yesterday that it opened a formal antitrust investigation targeting Microsoft into the software company's Teams messaging and videoconferencing app over concerns that its bundling with its Office productivity software suites gives it an unfair edge over competitors.

Microsoft is readying to cut more positions from its global workforce as tech giants continue paring headcount to ride out rough economic conditions, according to media reports.

A Microsoft spokesperson told AFP that the company would not comment on what it referred to as "rumor."

The rapid rise of the U.S. dollar since the start of the year is a double-edged sword for American multinational companies, pushing some of them to decide whether to hedge or reposition their activities abroad to avoid fallout.    

For an importer, the surge in the greenback against the euro, yen or British pound is a plus, because it makes the products they buy cheaper.

Between $ 20 million and $ 25 million will be the investment of the American company AtScale in Bulgaria, said Matthew Bird, founder of UpScale and Scott Hauser, product manager in front of Bloomberg TV Bulgaria.

AtScale, the world leader in large data management, opened an office in Sofia. This is the first destination in which the California company moves internationally. The company aims to "bring order in the chaotic ocean of data" that businesses are working on. Customers on its platform for business intelligence are giants such as JPMorgan Chase, Toyota, Wells Fargo, GlaxoSmithKline.
