Hungarian Intelligence Confirms Pagers in Lebanon Did Not Pass Through Bulgaria or Hungary

The pagers that exploded in Lebanon did not pass through Hungary or Bulgaria, according to a report by Hungarian intelligence. The devices reached Hezbollah through a route involving Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Lebanon. This was revealed by the head of Hungary's parliamentary committee for national security, who noted that several companies were involved in the production and sale of the pagers.

Smuggling Attempt of Great Quantity of Antiques Prevented in Bulgaria

An attempt to smuggle 70 kilograms of antiques has been prevented through a joint operation of the State Agency for National Security, the Interior Ministry and the Customs agency.

The artifacts have been seized from a vehicle with Bulgarian registration at the checkpoint Vidin – Danube Bridge.

Large Amount of Undeclared Cash Seized At Bulgarian-Turkish Border

Bulgarian customs officers have seized undeclared EUR 57,080 or some BGN 111 thousand at checkpoint Lesovo from a truck with Turkish registration, the Customs agency informed.

The truck was traveling from Bulgaria to Turkey, the driver – a Turkish citizen claimed there was nothing to declare, however the customs inspection found over EUR 57 thousand hidden inside the vehicle.
