European champion Rami Kiwan delivered a standout performance, securing a dominant victory over the top-seeded fighter in the 71kg weight class at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The win, achieved by a unanimous decision, saw the boxer from the small Bulgarian town of Cherven Bryag assert his superiority throughout all rounds of the match.

The Mayor of Cherven Bryag Danail Valov and five officials are detained for 24 hours after an operation by the specialized prosecutor's office in the town on 20th of March, reports BNT. 

According to the Prosecutor's Office, he has been found to have breached his duties as a public servant and public tenderer under the "Hot Lunch" program, which is to the value of BGN 229,000.
