Shipka Epic Anniversary: Bulgaria Marks 147 Years with Ceremonies and Traffic Changes
Bulgaria is marking the 147th anniversary of the Shipka epic, commemorating the historic battle at Shipka Pass. The national celebrations, which began on August 19, will reach their peak at Shipka Pass.
Bulgaria: All Traffic through 'Prohodа na Republiкata' Mountain Pass Stopped
From today until the end of the month, the travel of all motor vehicles through the Pass of the Republic will be stopped.
This was reported by the Bulgarian Road Agency. The traffic will be diverted through the Shipka, Rishki and Kotlenski passes.
The cars will pass through the Shipka pass, and the trucks will be redirected on the road Shumen-Karnobat and Omurtag-Kotel.
Hundreds are Protesting in Defense of an Arms Factory

There are about 1000 people working in Emko, mainly from Tryavna, who are afraid to lose their livelihood.
27-Year Old Woman Dies as Romanian Bus Overturns at Bulgaria’s Hainboaz Pass
A 27-year old Romanian national has died in a traffic accident at the Hainboaz Pass (the Pass of the Republic).
The pass was closed for hours due to the accident, which resulted in a huge traffic jam. Traffic was restored at around 10 am.
The accident occurred at around 4.30 am on Sunday.
Initial Damage Assessment of Flooded Veliko Tarnovo Runs Up To BGN 10M
The damages from the floods that hit Bulgaria's Veliko Tarnovo, Kilifarevo, Debelets and the nearby villages have been estimated at more than BGN 10M.
This amount includes damages to the infrastructure, people's homes, the Kilifarevski monastery, the Pass of the Republic and agricultural lands.

After the Yantra river overflowed and flooded Bulgarian town of Veliko Tarnovo, more than 300 homes remain under water, Saturday.
The water levels of the Yantra and Belitsa rivers are already decreasing after the floods, however a number of landslides have been activated in the region, Nova Tv informed.
