Türkiye struck PKK targets in Syria and Iraq for a second day on Oct. 24 following an attack on the premises of a key defense company that killed at least five people.
The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) targeted "numerous strategic locations" used by PKK or those affiliated with the organization, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

Turkish media reported that two mortar shells fell in the mined border area near the Turkish town of Kilis and the Turkish armed forces are retaliating with a barrage of artillery fire.
A fire has broken out in the area.
AKP set to host conference on Palestine
The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has announced it will hold a high-profile conference on Palestine on Oct. 15, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expected to attend.
The event will consist of three sessions, each focusing on key aspects of Palestine's future, AKP deputy leader Zafer Sırakaya told reporters at the party's headquarters.

Inflation expectations improve in September, shows survey
Inflation expectations for the end of 2024 declined from 43.3 percent in August to 43.1 percent in September, a Central Bank survey has shown.
The 12-month ahead inflation expectations also fell from 28.1 percent to 27.5 percent, according to the monthly survey of market participants.
Consumer prices are expected to increase by 2.22 percent in September.
