Dacic: Serbian police have arrested man suspected of committing war crimes in Kosovo-Metohija in 1999
BELGRADE - Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday Serbian police had arrested a man suspected of committing war crimes against Yugoslav Army personnel in Kosovo-Metohija in May 1999.
Dacic explained the crimes had been committed in the area of the Kosare village.
Pandemic Slows Progress of War Crime Trials in Serbia: Report
The Humanitarian Law Centre NGO said in a report published on Friday that the pandemic slowed down war crimes investigations and trials that were already taking too long to complete in Serbia.
A state of emergency was imposed in Serbia from March 15 to May 6 2020, and war crimes trials resumed at the end of May under special protective measures.
US House of Representatives adopts resolution on Bytyqi brothers
The Resolution needs to be adopted by the Senate.
The Resolution was submitted in April 2018, by the U.S. Representative for New York's 1st congressional district, Congressman Lee Zeldin, while the House Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress adopted a resolution on July 17, 2018, urging Belgrade to prosecute the killers of the three Bytyqi brothers.
