BUCHAREST - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with several European officials on the sidelines of a European People's Party (EPP) congress in Bucharest on Thursday.

After a meeting with Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Brnabic briefly met with Jens Spahn, an MP of Germany's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who is also a former German federal minister of health.

The statements and "accusations" in the International Election Observation Mission (IEOM) report for May 14 polls "exceed the framework of the election process and disregard the principles of independent and impartial observation are regrettable," the Foreign Ministry said on May 16.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry on June 26 urged the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's (OSCE) election observation missions to "avoid making political analysis" and "biased comments" on the country's recent snap parliamentary and presidential elections, which took place under an ongoing state of emergency. 

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is planning to deploy 28 long-term and 350 short-term observers to follow Turkey's presidential and parliamentary elections on June 24.

The OSCE will deploy a limited mission to monitor the presidential election in Serbia, Beta is reporting.

The OSCE Ministerial Council has decided to extend the mandate of OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic, for one year.

OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Wednesday welcomed this decision, the organization said in a statement.

An OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation has visited southern Serbia, where they met with refugees, aid workers, and officials at reception facilities.

The delegation of the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions led by Chairperson Isabel Santos traveled near the border of Serbia with the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the OSCE said in a statement.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who will chair the OSCE next year, says the primary task will be to strengthen mutual trust in the OSCE area.

He was addressing the final session of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade on Friday where he unofficially took over the presidency of the organization, the Beta agency reported.

Due to the European security's fragility a stronger OSCE, dialogue renewal and establishment of security trust will be the leitmotif of Germany's chairmanship.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, whose country will take over the OSCE chairmanship from Serbia in 2016, said this as he addressed the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade on Thursday.
