ICGB and DESFA sign deal to boost natural gas connectivity
The natural gas InterConnector Greece-Bulgaria (ICGB) announced this week the signing of an interconnection agreement with Greece's natural gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) at the interconnection point (IP) located in Komotini in the north of the country.

"Bulgargaz" with an Estimated Gas Price for October of EUR 137.69 per megawatt hour
"Bulgargaz" EAD informs its customers that the estimated price of natural gas for October 2022 is BGN 269.29 per megawatt hour (without access, transmission, excise and VAT) or EUR 137.69 per MWh, calculated according to the fixing of the BNB.
Bulgaria: Natural Gas Price Set for Sharp Jump of 20%
Bulgaria's Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) has endorsed a price of 45.27 leva/MWh for natural gas, effective June 1, 2021, the regulator said in a press release on Monday.
The new price, which excludes the charges for access, transmission, excise duty and VAT, is 20 per cent higher than its May 1 level (37.71 per cent) and 122 per cent up from June 1, 2020.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on Thursday expected the progress of construction of the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria. "This is a geostrategic project for both Bulgaria and the entire region," the PM said, quoted by the Government Information Service.
Bulgaria takes 20% stake in Greek LNG terminal
Bulgaria's state gas company Bulgartransgaz has finalized a deal to take 20% of Greek company Gastrade, which is developing a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility off the city of Alexandroupoli, Gastrade said on Thursday.
The deal is part of Bulgaria's strategy to diversify and to decrease its dependence on Russian gas.

Greece ratifies IGB pipeline agreement, EastMed Forum foundation treaty
The Greece-Bulgaria cooperation agreement on the Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB) natural gas pipeline project and the foundation treaty of the EastMed Gas Forum (EMGF) were ratified in the Greek Parliament on Tuesday.
Greece-Bulgaria gas pipeline deal submitted to Parliament in Athens
An agreement between Greece and Bulgaria concerning the IGB natural gas pipeline project (Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria) was tabled in the Greek Parliament on Tuesday.
The agreement includes mutual commitments for the construction of the gas pipeline and for the transportation of gas after the project has been completed.
