4th Harry Potter store in the world to open in Istanbul

The globally renowned work of author J.K. Rowling, the Harry Potter series, will soon be represented in Istanbul with the opening of the fourth Wizarding World store worldwide.

Warner Bros. Discovery is set to unveil the fourth global emporium of the Wizarding World in Istanbul, nestled within the expansive 200-square-meter confines of Mall of Istanbul on the European side.

Minister Zaharieva: We Have Reduced the Number of Children in Institutions by 90%

"Bulgaria has reduced the number of children in institutions by 90 percent, and we plan to permanently close all homes for children with disabilities and for children from 4 to 7 years old," said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva, who opened an event on the deinstitutionalization of child care in New York, BGNES reported.

Two new Harry Potter books to be released in October

The Hogwarts universe is set to expand by an additional two new Harry Potter books, published in conjunction with a British Library event, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the magical series.

The library exhibition titled, "A History of Magic," featuring the two books will be open from October 2017 to February 2018, British publishing house Bloomsbury announced on July 19.

Harry Potter turns 20

Harry Potter turned 20 on June 26 when muggle readers in gowns and glasses from Indonesia to Uruguay will celebrate the birth of a global publishing phenomenon in 1997.

"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (later renamed "Sorcerer's Stone" for the U.S. market) introduced the boy wizard and a magical cast of supporting characters.

Murakami wins Danish literature prize

Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami on Nov. 17 won Denmark's top literary award, the Hans Christian Andersen Prize, following in the footsteps of such writers as J.K. Rowling and Salman Rushdie.

The award, named after Denmark's famous fairytale creator H.C. Andersen, comes with a cheque for 500,000 kroner (67,000 euros, $71,400).
