Health Ministry, WHO to cohost quake conference in Istanbul
The Turkish Health Ministry and the World Health Organization (WHO) will jointly organize an earthquake conference in Istanbul next February, with 28 countries expected to participate, according to a WHO official.

The Omicron variant has moved the COVID-19 pandemic into a new phase and could bring it to an end in Europe, the WHO Europe director has said.
"It's plausible that the region is moving towards a kind of pandemic endgame," Hans Kluge told AFP in an interview on Jan. 23, adding that Omicron could infect 60 percent of Europeans by March.

US acquires 200 mln new doses as vaccine drive begins in pharmacies
