EVs seek to regain sales momentum at Paris Motor Show
European and Chinese automakers faced off at the Paris Motor Show as they seek to make electric vehicles affordable for the broader public as the sector faces stalling sales in many countries.
The biennial show has long been a major industry showcase, tracing its history to 1898.
Fiat 500 electric production pauses for one month
Carmaker Stellantis has said it would halt production of the electric version of its emblematic Fiat 500 in Italy due to weak demand, a move that comes as EV sales have slowed in Europe.
Growth in electric vehicles has stalled in many European countries, in part due to expiration of government incentives.

Child Struck by Bus in Sunny Beach
A 7-year-old boy was struck by a bus in Sunny Beach last night, reports BNR. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near the "Continental" bus stop. The bus, a "MAN" with Sofia plates, was driven by a 65-year-old man who hit the child while he was crossing the road for reasons that remain unclear.

European carmaker Stellantis on Tuesday said it had formed a joint venture with the Chinese electric vehicle startup Leapmotor that will begin selling EVs in nine European countries, including Greece, later this year.
Electric vehicle sales expected to almost double this year
The size of Türkiye's electric car market is expected to nearly double this year as sales are forecast to reach 120,000 units.
Last year, 72,179 EVs were sold in the country, pointing to an 833 percent increase from 2022, which made Türkiye the fastest-growing EV market in Europe. In terms of the number of EV sales, Türkiye ranked 8th in Europe.
Fiat Chrysler plant in Kragujevac produces first test units of new electric car
KRAGUJEVAC - The Fiat Chrysler plant in Kragujevac, central Serbia, has produced the initial test units of the first-ever electric car to be manufactured in Serbia, Tanjug learns.
They are undergoing crash tests and other testing inside the factory complex.
