Rescue workers, policemen and even off-duty coal miners are combing the sprawling crash site in eastern Ukraine, reports AP. 

They are looking for the bodies of the 298 people who were on board of the Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 which crashed, reportedly hit by a ground-to-air missile Buk.

World in shock as Malaysian plane crashes over Ukraine

KIEV -- None of the 298 passengers and crew of a Malaysian passenger plane that crashed in eastern Ukraine survived, and the world is in shock over the tragedy.

Ukrainian forces were hunting for the crew of a downed military plane that Kyiv said was "likely" shot down from Russia, as Washington accused Moscow of supplying military hardware to the rebels.
