Ancient Eleutherna Museum inaugurates ‘Picasso on Crete: Joy of Life’ exhibition

The Museum of Ancient Eleutherna near Rethymno, Crete celebrated its 8th anniversary with the inauguration of an exhibition on Pablo Picasso that included Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the former queen of Spain Sophia and her sister Irene, and daughter of Picasso, Paloma, among guests. 

Mikis Theodorakis remains to lie in state for three days

The remains of Mikis Theodorakis will be lie in state during a three-day popular pilgrimage in the Cathedral of Athens, from next Tuesday until Thursday.

According to information at the popular pilgrimage, all the necessary health safety measures will be observed.

So far, however, the place where the leading Greek composer will be buried has not been announced.

Full Moon at the Acropolis Museum | Athens | August 15

George Dalaras & Estudiantina | Athens | January 15 & 16

Greek singer George Dalaras joins forces with Estudiantina, a Volos-based ensemble that has been studying and performing the sounds of the Mediterranean for the past 20 years, for two shows at the Iera Odos venue.
