Dome installed for restored historic church after century

In a significant restoration milestone, the dome of the 1,600-year-old Saint George Church in Diyarbakır has been replaced following severe damage from the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes that struck eastern Türkiye on Feb. 6, 2023.

The new dome, installed using a crane, marks a significant step in the restoration of the ancient structure.

UNESCO-recognized Turkish artist to compile 7,000 Çini designs in book

A UNESCO-recognized "Çini" artist hailing from Türkiye's western province of Kütahya, will immortalize nearly 7,000 intricate patterns into comprehensive books, he says.

Çini is a traditional Turkish art form of ceramic tile painting, involving the decoration of ceramic surfaces with intricate and distinctive patterns and designs using colorful glazes.

Troy ancient city to have green museum constructed

The half of the museum construction that was started a year ago in the ancient city of Troy in the western province of Çanakkale has been finished. When it is completely finished, the museum is expected to be a nominee for many architectural awards for its 5,000-square-meter green roof and sustaining wall that looks like the walls of the ancient city.
