Türkiye’s exports hit record $262 billion in 2024
Türkiye's exports increased by 2.5 percent last year from 2023 to $262 billion in 2024, according to data from the Trade Ministry.
In December alone, the country's exports amounted to $23.5 billion, marking a 2.2 percent increase.
The country's foreign trade deficit shrank 22.7 percent last year to $82.2 billion.

Foreign trade deficit widens by 25 percent in November
Exports fell by 3.1 percent annually to $22.3 billion, while imports rose 2.7 percent to $29.8 billion, leading to a foreign trade deficit of $7.46 billion in November, up 24.9 percent from a year ago.
Foreign trade gap narrows 31 percent in January-September
Türkiye's foreign trade deficit narrowed by 31.1 percent on a yearly basis to $60.43 billion this January-September, according to official new figures.
The country's exports totaled $191.75 billion in the nine-month period, up 2.6 percent, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) said on Oct. 31.
Türkiye’s 9-month exports rise 3.2 percent to $193 billion
Türkiye's exports increased by 3.2 percent in the January-September period from a year ago to reach $192.8 billion, according to data from the Trade Ministry on Oct. 3.
In the same period, the country's imports fell by 7.9 percent year-on-year to $252.9 billion.

Current account surplus decreases in July
Greece's current account surplus decreased in July year-on-year due to a deterioration in the balance of goods, the balance of services and the primary income account, while the secondary income account improved slightly, the Bank of Greece reported on Friday.
In January-July 2024, the current account deficit increased by 1.3 billion euros year-on-year and stood at €8.6 billion.

Tourism targets for 2024 remain unchanged, says VP Yılmaz
The government is keeping its targets for the number of visitors and tourism revenues unchanged for 2024, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz has said.
"We still expect 60 million tourists to visit Türkiye this year, while aiming for $60 billion in tourism revenues," Yılmaz said in a speech in the province of Bilecik.
Foreign trade deficit continues to shrink, shows ministry data
Türkiye's foreign trade deficit continued to decline in August, narrowing 43.4 percent year-on-year to $4.93 billion last month, according to the Trade Ministry on Sept. 2.
This marked the lowest level of foreign trade deficit in 34 months.

Türkiye's foreign trade deficit declined by 41.8 percent year-on-year in July to $7.3 billion as exports rose and imports dwindled, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) have shown.
Exports amounted to $22.5 billion last month, increasing 13.8 percent from July 2023, but imports plunged 7.8 percent annually to $29.8 billion, TÜİK said on Aug. 28.
