9 killed amid Russia airstrikes in Donetsk, Kharkiv regions

Ukraine said on Saturday that nine people were killed in the country's Donetsk and Kharkiv regions due to Russian airstrikes.

A statement by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said that four people were killed and six others injured in the northeastern Kharkiv region, where it claimed Russia attacked settlements in the region's Bohodukhiv, Izium and Kupiansk districts during the day.

This development marks a significant territorial gain for Russian forces, as Bilohorivka was one of the few remaining settlements in the district under Ukrainian control.

Kremlin blasts 'monstrous' strike on bakery in occupied Ukraine

The Kremlin yesterday blasted a Ukrainian strike on a bakery in the occupied eastern Ukrainian city of Lysychansk, which officials say killed at least 28 people including a child on Feb. 3.

The strike came almost two years into Russia's grinding offensive in Ukraine, where the frontline has barely moved in months, but attacks have intensified this winter.

The head of the Russian mercenary group Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, published a video in which he claims to know about the Ukrainian plan, the aim of which is to "strike three blows".
At the same time, he states that Ukraine has grouped 200,000 soldiers in Donbas, out of which 80,000 are near Bakhmut.

Russia has Withdrawn from Ukraine’s Kharkiv Region

Ukraine announced the recapture of more than 20 settlements in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions within 24 hours.

It comes a day after Russia confirmed it was withdrawing from the area, though it explained that its actions were related to the "implementation of the special military operation" (as Moscow calls the war in Ukraine, which today entered its 201st day).
