Over one million Bulgarians are currently not paying their health insurance, a situation that poses significant challenges. The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) is running an information campaign urging people to carry their health insurance cards while traveling during the summer. This is to ensure they receive adequate and timely medical care if needed.

"Each GP has two to three cases per patient with coronavirus per day, which shows a real incidence of about 9,000 people."

This is what Dr. Miroslav Spasov - personal physician and pediatrician - told BNR. "The figure in the official statistics is small because of the missing opportunity for testing", he clarified.
