Erdoğan vows to settle all earthquake victims in containers

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has pledged swift relief for earthquake victims, announcing plans to relocate those still in facilities or tents to containers by Aug. 15, while unveiling a comprehensive initiative to bolster earthquake preparedness through the transformation of 6.5 million homes across Türkiye.

6 months after quakes, efforts ongoing to rebuild cities

It's been exactly six months since the devastating earthquakes jolted Türkiye's south, bringing massive destruction, loss of life and trauma to those left behind, as the country continues intensive infrastructure and construction works to rebuild the cities and bring relief to survivors and heal their wounds.

Several people were injured in an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5, which shook the southern Turkish province of Adana this morning, reported the state television "TRT-Haber".
