"We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) remains divided on whether to propose a cabinet should it receive a third exploratory mandate from the president, reported BNR from sources within the coalition. Following a meeting of the parliamentary group yesterday, no consensus was reached, prompting leaders to convene today at the Chairman's Council for further deliberations.

A large banner calling for the resignation of Kornelia Ninova was displayed by the youth organization of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) on the facade of the party headquarters at 20 "Positano" Street in Sofia. The youth organization considers the results of the recent elections to be catastrophic.

Georgi Svilenski, a prominent figure within the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), has made a resolute declaration: if President Rumen Radev bestows upon them a third mandate, they will promptly return it. This announcement comes amidst a backdrop of political volatility and shifting alliances within Bulgaria.

This morning, a contentious dismantling of sections of the Monument to the Soviet Army in Sofia sparked outrage and led to a fierce protest orchestrated by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP).

GERB, "Vazrazhdane" and BSP demanded that the Bulgarian state intervenes in the case with the inclusion of names of Bulgarian citizens in a list of enemies of Ukraine, published on the Ukrainian site "Myrotvorets" (Peacemaker).

The BSP plenum confirmed the decision of the Executive Bureau and the parliamentary group of the BSP coalition for Bulgaria to end the negotiations with GERB-SDS to form a government with the first mandate. BSP leader Kornelia Ninova summarized the decisions:

"During peace negotiations, it will be clear whether Russia is really an aggressor," according to the deputy chairman of the BSP parliamentary group, Ivan Chenchev.

The election has, therefore, failed to resolve the political deadlock that has gripped Bulgaria since April, and the country is heading into somewhat uncharted territory. As a result, in the coming weeks and months, a protracted political crisis will likely materialize, whose outcome is hard to predict. Another round of elections could well take place in autumn.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will return the exploratory mandate to form a government on May 5.
The information was released by head of BSP-Sofia Kaloyan Pargov, emerging from a sitting of the BSP National Council on
Saturday.

"We made the decision to return the mandate, given the current situation and circumstances," Pargov said.

With a surprise leave, the newly resigned Prime Minister Borisov avoided the hearing from the new parliament.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov continued to avoid being heard by parliament in the new National Assembly. He took leave for tomorrow, the day MPs summoned him to speak about work on the European Union's Recovery and Sustainability Plan.
