Belgrade under siege tomorrow

The events include: the promotion of military graduates, the Formula 1 race, "Europride" and the walk of anti-globalists. The first event starts already at 10 a.m., the last two at 5 p.m., so it is clear that the capital will be under "siege" from the early hours of the morning.

According to "Blic" reporters from the scene, there are a large number of people on the streets who headed to the Park Manège, where the central event is taking place, while a large number of police forces are on the streets, providing security and movement in downtown area.

Serbian Anti-Government Protesters Undeterred by Easter Holidays

Serbian Protesters Challenge Govt in Poster War

Protesters against the rule of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic - angered by the decision of the Belgrade city authorities last week to remove stickers reading "Vucic's lies" immediately after a rally - pasted thousands of new stickers along the route of Saturday's rally.

The stickers quoted Vucic's unfulfilled promises.

Belgrade marks WW2 Liberation Day

A memorial march organized in Belgrade on Thursday marked the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of the Serbian capital in the Second World War.

The participants walked from Kralja Milana St. to Terazije Square, singing WW2-era Partisan songs, with actors taking part in reenactment scenes dressed in historical costumes.
