Discovery of missing economist's dog fails to provide clues
Despite a glimmer of hope sparked by the discovery of the missing dog belonging to 83-year-old economist Korhan Berzeg, search efforts for the owner himself remain fruitless more than two months after their mysterious disappearance in the western province of Balıkesir's Gönen district.

The dog of 83-year-old economist Korhan Berzeg has been located after disappearing along with her owner over two months ago in the western province of Balıkesir's Gönen district.
A citizen who spotted Berzeg's dog, Tina, whose whereabouts had remained a mystery despite search efforts spanning more than 70 days, promptly informed Armutlu neighborhood headman Hamit Erman.

Treasure hunters explode ancient rock tomb
Treasure hunters have exploded the entrance of a 2,500-year-old rock-cut tomb, one of the six ancient sepulchres in the Elmalı district of the southern province of Antalya.
"These are cultural heritages, we must protect them to leave to the next generations," Durmuş Altan, an archaeologist, told Demirören News Agency on Oct. 6.

Over 4,555 cubic meters of mucilage collected from Marmara Sea
Over the past 12 days, Turkish sea cleaning teams have collected a total of 4,555 cubic meters (160,858 cubic feet) of mucilage from the Sea of Marmara, said the country's environment and urbanization minister on June 20.
Updating on the efforts to clear out the mucilage, also known as sea snot, Murat Kurum said on Twitter that the operations were conducted at 278 locations.
Over 4,200 cubic meters of mucilage collected from Marmara Sea
Over the past 11 days, Turkish sea cleaning teams have collected a total of 4,202 cubic meters (148, 392 cubic feet) of mucilage from the Marmara Sea, said the country's environment and urbanization minister on June 19.
Updating the state of the works to clear out mucilage, also known as sea knot, Murat Kurum said on Twitter that the operations were conducted in 255 locations.
Turkey collects nearly 3,300 cubic meters of mucilage from sea
Turkish cleanup teams have collected a total of 3,288 cubic meters (116,114 cubic feet) of mucilage from the Marmara Sea in the last eight days, the country's environment and urbanization minister said on June 16.

Turkish teams collected over 1,197 cubic meters (42,271 cubic feet) of mucilage from the Sea of Marmara over the past four days, said the environment and urbanization minister on June 12.
In a statement, Murat Kurum said operations to clear the sea of the substance, also known as "sea snot," are ongoing at 77 locations, adding that the collected mucilage had been sent for disposal.
