Bank robbed at gunpoint in Nea Filadelfia

A bank was robbed at gunpoint on Monday shortly before 10 a.m. in Nea Filadelfia, western Athens.

A perpetrator wearing a mask and wig brandished a firearm and demanded money from the bank employees.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction with the assistance of an accomplice waiting outside, taking an undisclosed amount of cash.

16-year-old injured in Nea Filadelfia after utility pole collapses

A 16-year-old girl was injured when a utility pole fell in the Nea Filadelfia district of Athens on Wednesday. The victim was transported by ambulance to Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital.
