Police bust drug trafficking ring distributing pink cocaine in Athens

A drug trafficking ring operating in the Athens area, which was distributing pink cocaine, has been dismantled by officers from the drug enforcement unit of the Greek Police (ELAS).

Following a major operation, a 30-year-old suspect has been arrested. Two additional individuals, aged 33 and 23, are currently being sought in connection with the case.

In two houses in Athens and Agia Paraskevi, Narcotics Division officers have found about 1 kilogram of pink cocaine, called TUSI, which is highly expensive.

In addition to the 30-year-old man who was arrested, police have identified a 33-year-old Greek and a 23-year-old foreigner for involvement in the drug trafficking.

French Authorities Bar Telegram Founder Durov from Leaving Country During Criminal Investigation

Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, is currently under formal investigation by French authorities due to alleged illicit activities on the messaging platform. As part of the investigation, Durov has been barred from leaving France. He was detained by French authorities at an airport outside Paris, following an arrest warrant issued against him.

Bulgaria seizes heroin worth $38 mln at a Black Sea port destined for Greece

Bulgarian authorities have seized some 436 kilograms of heroin at the Black Sea port of Burgas, the district prosecutor's office said on Monday.

The heroin was stashed in 434 packages hidden inside officially declared cargo in a trailer. The drug haul's value is estimated at 35 million euros.
