Belh@rra: The “Nearchos” frigate launched – Dendias announces a fourth frigate, see sideo and photos

At the Naval Group shipyard in France, the “Nearchos” frigate was launched today, in the presence of the Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias. This is the second of the three FDI HN frigates (Kimon, Nearchos, and Formion), commonly known as “Belharra,” which will join the Greek Navy’s fleet in the coming years.

The launching ceremony for the frigate “Nearchos,” the second of the three FDI frigates (known as Belh@rra), acquired by the Hellenic Navy, is currently underway. The event took place at the Naval Group facilities in Lorient, France, attended by Greece’s Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias.

The launch of the “Nearchos,” the second FDI HN frigate—also known as Belh@rra—of the “Kimon” class, is currently taking place in the presence of Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias. The frigate is being constructed at the Naval Group shipyards in Lorient, France, for the Hellenic Navy.

New Greek frigate to be launched in France

Defense Minister Nikos Dendias will attend the launching ceremony of the Belharra-class frigate HN Frigate Nearchos in France on Thursday, which he described as another milestone for the country's navy and armed forces.

The multi-role vessel has a displacement of approximately 4,500 tons and belongs to the latest generation of "digital" frigates.
