After a thrilling production of Alban Berg's "Lulu" in 2015 that delighted opera aficionados, multifaceted South African artist William Kentridge presents the Austrian composer's first opera, "Wozzeck," at the New York Metropolitan Opera on Saturday, January 11, conducted by Yannick Nezet-Seguin.

"More Sweetly Play the Dance" is a large-scale projection by South African artist William Kentridge, presenting a procession of shadowy figures marching to the sounds of a brass band. A huge, 40-meter caravan of shadows extends over eight screens, reminiscent of a medieval danse macabre. However, it is a procession that is more about life than death.

Acclaimed South African artist William Kentridge presents a 40-meter caravan of shadows extending over eight screens, reminiscent of a medieval danse macabre, every night at 9.30 p.m. through June 30 on the Dionysiou Areopagitou promenade, just a few meters from the Acropolis metro station.

Istanbul Biennial announces next year’s theme
Details of next year's 14th Istanbul Biennial, a citywide exhibition organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (Ä°KSV), have been announced.
The biennial will be open at venues across Istanbul between Sept. 5 and Nov. 1, 2015, and its title and framework, âSaltwater: A Theory of Thought Forms,â was drafted by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev and a number of partners.
