City Hall amends food handout program amid lockdown
As authorities strive to ensure that Greeks comply with a lockdown imposed on Monday, the City of Athens is stepping up its efforts to help homeless citizens who do not have the option of self-isolating and those on low incomes who attend City Hall's food distributions.
Council of State greenlights Athens metro Line 4
Line 4 of the Athens metro, which will start in Alsos Veikou and run to Goudi in the center of Athens, can go ahead as injunctions against the project were rejected by the Council of State on Tuesday.

Poison center warns over cuts
The Poison Center at the Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital in Goudi, eastern Athens, the only one of its kind in the country, is sounding the alarm as, since 2012, it has been forced to operate with a staff of just six doctors and one pharmacist (from 10 and three respectively) due to budget cuts.

Schedule for new metro line set out
Athens could have a new metro line running from Goudi to Galatsi via the city center by 2023, it was revealed Thursday as the government said it would launch a tender for the 1.2-billion-euro project in the fall of 2015.
