Immigrant artists looking at Istanbul in new performance
Within the scope of the "Istanbul Today" exhibition, the Suna and Inan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum is hosting an interdisciplinary performance that brings documentary theater, sound installation, visual arts and live music together.
Culture Road Festival opens in Istanbul, Ankara
Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has inaugurated the Beyoğlu and Başkent Culture Road Festival in Istanbul during its launch ceremonies in Istanbul and Ankara on the weekend.
The event in Istanbul opened with a photomarathon event joined by 1,500 photographers.

15th Istanbul Biennial to kick off across six venues
The 15th Istanbul Biennial, titled "A Good Neighbor" and curated by the artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset, will take place from Sept. 16 to Nov 12.
The biennial will be located in the heart of Istanbul, and can be visited free of charge at six venues within walking distance of each other.

Istanbul's Pera Museum opened a new exhibition on May 25 centered on the art of Mario Prassinos, who was born in Istanbul into an Ottoman Greek family and began his avant-garde artistic career in early 20th century Paris.

Pera Fest counters discrimination
Pera Fest, to be organized under the theme of "art against discrimination," will open on March 21 at Istanbul's Tiyatro Pera. Poems and songs addressing discrimination will be performed during the night.
The 14th edition of the event will host three panel discussions, three short and three feature film screenings and a theater play until March 27.

Writers meet at the British Council
The British Council will organize a meeting of celebrated writers from the United Kingdom and Turkey with their readers.
The first of these meetings will bring together Hanif Kureishi, the screenwriter of the movie "My Beautiful Laundrette," which was nominated for an Oscar award, and Murathan Mungan, another venerated writer, at the Pera Museum on Feb. 18.
